Although networking events are favorites to our community, we unfortunately need to limit the number of gatherings in Philadelphia and prioritize social distancing and crowd density standards. As a result, the following events will not be featured at this year’s event and we will be adapting some of the smaller networking opportunities to uphold health and safety measures.
Yes, but they will be very different! As a result of the new, physically distanced environment, we will have less in-person sessions and room capacities will be strictly enforced. All in-person sessions will be live-streamed, allowing for virtual attendance, and some sessions may shift to a digital environment. All attendees and exhibitors will have access to NPEE education and education upgrades will not be required for this event.
All cleaning practices have been thoroughly enhanced to ensure we are exceeding standards for disinfecting and hygiene with an increased focus on key touchpoints including high-traffic areas, handles and rails, restrooms, food and beverage areas, information desks and conference and meeting rooms.
All aspects of the event, including floor plans and aisle widths, room capacities, service providers and their practices, conference scheduling and special events and receptions will be reviewed to ensure that we are providing the highest level of safety and comfort for our community.
The City of Philadelphia Public Health Department and the Natural Products teams have worked together in a strategic, proactive approach to identify any potential risks regarding food preparation and open sampling. These regulations and expectations will be featured in the Exhibitor Services Kit and enforced onsite through Public Health Department agents. It is the responsibility of all of us to deliver the healthiest and safest event for everyone.
If an exhibitor is conducting open sampling in their booth, they are required to perform the following to avoid the potential of food contamination in avoidance of any food poisoning.
